Visit Beautiful Conesus Lake in Conesus, New York

Conesus lake is one of the minor Finger Lakes in western New York. There are eleven Finger Lakes in New York, formed when the last glaciers melted and blocked rivers with their debris. Conesus is the western-most of the Finger Lakes, located about 25 miles south of Rochester.

The shoreline of Conesus lake borders the towns of Conesus, Geneseo, Groveland, and Livonia. It is a popular recreation and vacation destination.

Water skiing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing are all great water activities to enjoy during boating season at Conesus Lake.

Fireworks light the sky on July 3rd along with the Seneca Indian's traditional Ring of Fire. Every year at 10 p.m., Conesus Lake residents light provided flares along the entire shoreline, creating a Ring of Fire. This beautiful event is followed by a community sponsored fireworks display where 10% of the funds go to a selected charity.

Conesus Lake, the smallest of the Finger Lakes, contains a wealth of fish. Large and smallmouth bass are abundant in its waters along with pike, walleye, bluegill, bullhead, and northern pike. Fishing tournaments are a year-round event that occur during the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. The lake freezes over completely during the coldest winters and offers a wonderful ice fishing experience.

If you're looking for a great water destination for a family vacation, Conesus Lake has a lot to offer with waterfront vacation properties and boat rentals available all year round.
